Big Gay Beaver Day Returns to Paradise Fields – A Celebration of Rewilding and Queer Community

Big Gay Beaver Day is coming back to Paradise Fields and Horsenden Hill Farm this September (19 September 2026). The queer-led fundraiser celebrates both the success of the Ealing Beaver Project and the LGBTQI+ people who have helped make London’s first urban beaver reintroduction possible.

The afternoon begins with guided tours of the beaver landscape at Paradise Fields, giving visitors the chance to learn about the project and, with luck, catch a glimpse of the animals. The evening continues at Horsenden Hill Farm with live entertainment, drag performances, pizza, drinks and community fundraising. All proceeds support the expansion of beaver reintroductions across London.

Now in its second year, the event sold out in 2025 and has become a joyful meeting point for nature lovers and the queer community. Organisers from Citizen Zoo describe it as a space where rewilding and queer culture come together naturally. Tickets are limited and advance booking is essential.

It is a uniquely Ealing event – part nature celebration, part community party, and a reminder that the beavers of Paradise Fields belong to everyone.
