Ealing Trailfinders v Richmond on Sunday: time, team and travel

Ealing Trailfinders will play their first home league match of the season against Richmond at 2pm on Sunday, 27 September. The club has named its 23-player squad and provided travel information for the Vallis Way ground.

Planning to attend the West London derby on Sunday? Ealing Trailfinders host Richmond at 2pm on 27 September at Trailfinders Sports Club in Vallis Way, West Ealing. It is Round Two of Elior Champ Rugby and Ealing’s first home league match of the 2026/27 season.

Following an opening-round win

Trailfinders go into the match after beating Chinnor 43–26 in the first round. The club published its derby team on 25 September. Head coach Ben Ward selected a matchday squad of 23, with Mike Willemse captaining the side for its first league appearance at Vallis Way this season.

Kyle Whyte, Willemse and Adam Nicol form the front row. Freddie Stevenson is due to make his Champ Rugby debut in the second row, while James Humphreys will make his first Ealing Trailfinders appearance at fly-half. Jack Kelleher, who came off the bench against Chinnor, starts this time at blindside flanker.

Matt Cornish returns to the squad after a period of rehabilitation and is among the replacements. The starting side also includes Jordy Reid, Fyn Brown, Michael Stronge, Deago Bailey, Toby Cousins and Will Feeney. The club has named a five-three split between forwards and backs on the bench.

Getting to the ground

Trailfinders Sports Club is at Vallis Way, West Ealing, W13 0DD. The club identifies Castle Bar Park as the nearest railway station, with an estimated two-minute walk from the station. Supporters can continue from Ealing Broadway by bus, taxi or on foot, while the club estimates that the walk from West Ealing takes about 15 minutes.

Bus routes serving the area include the 297, E1, E2, E7, E9 and E10. Drivers should check their route before leaving. The club lists on-site parking at £10, although space may be limited on match day.

Tickets and key details

Tickets are sold through the official Ealing Trailfinders website. Supporters should check current availability and entry conditions before travelling, because publication of the team does not guarantee that tickets remain available. Gates, food outlets and supporter arrangements may have separate opening times, so the club website remains the best source for any late changes.

The essential details are Sunday, 27 September, a 2pm kick-off and Trailfinders Sports Club in Vallis Way. It is the club’s first home league game of the season and a local derby against Richmond. Ealing are seeking to build on their opening victory, while several players have been selected for debuts or returns in front of the home support.
