Four Men Stabbed in Covent Garden – Isolated Incident, Police Say
On Wednesday 5 August 2026 around 12:27 a 47-year-old woman allegedly attacked four men with a pair of scissors on Endell Street in Covent Garden. The victims, aged 34, 39, 42 and 52, were taken to hospital. Two were later discharged; the other two remained in hospital with injuries not thought to be life-threatening.

The victims, aged 34, 39, 42 and 52, were taken to hospital. Two were later discharged; the other two remained in hospital with injuries not thought to be life-threatening.
The Metropolitan Police described the incident as isolated and believed to be related to mental health. The woman was arrested on suspicion of assault and possession of an offensive weapon and has since been charged with four counts of wounding with intent and possession of an offensive weapon. She was remanded in custody.
Covent Garden is one of London’s busiest tourist and theatre areas. Police remained visible in the area after the attack. The force has stressed that there is no wider threat to the public.
