Free School Uniform Pop-Ups Return Across Ealing – Ten Locations in August

Families across the borough will be able to collect free primary and secondary school uniforms at ten pop-up events taking place later this month in Ealing Broadway, Acton, Southall and West Ealing. The initiative, supported by Ealing Council and community groups such as Act for Ealing, aims to ease the financial pressure of the new school year while keeping good-quality clothing out of landfill.

Parents can usually take up to four items per child – branded and unbranded core uniform, sportswear, shoes and bags are all available. No donation is required to take items, although clean, good-condition donations are always welcomed at library and community drop-off points throughout the year.

Similar schemes in previous summers proved extremely popular, with hundreds of families benefiting and tonnes of clothing diverted from waste. The pop-ups are designed to be simple and accessible: no registration needed, first-come first-served while stocks last. Exact dates, times and venues are being published on the council and Act for Ealing channels.

In a cost-of-living climate where school uniform remains a significant expense for many households, these free collections offer practical, immediate help and reinforce the community spirit that runs through Ealing’s seven towns.
