When to use a GP
A non-life-threatening problem that persists or needs examination, long-term review, prescription, fit note or specialist referral.
What to do
- Contact your surgery by phone, online or through the NHS App.
- If you have no GP, search by postcode and check registration.
- When the surgery is closed and it cannot wait, use NHS 111.
